Ingredients
Scale
- 1 large orange, freshly squeezed
- 1 cup cranberry juice or apple juice (for sweetness and color)
- 1-2 cinnamon sticks or ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Honey or agave syrup to taste (optional for added sweetness)
- Ice cubes
- Fresh orange slices and cinnamon sticks for garnish
Instructions
- Start by freshly squeezing the orange to obtain about half a cup of juice. Pour the juice into a mixing pitcher.
- Add the cinnamon sticks or ground cinnamon to the pitcher. If using cinnamon sticks, gently muddle them to release flavor, and allow the mixture to sit for 10 minutes to infuse.
- Pour in the cranberry or apple juice, and sweeten with honey or agave syrup if desired. Stir well to combine all flavors.
- Fill glasses with ice cubes, then pour the cinnamon orange drink over the ice. Garnish with orange slices and cinnamon sticks for a beautiful presentation.
Notes
- Use fresh-squeezed orange juice for the best flavor profile.
- Adjust the level of cinnamon or add a touch of ginger for a spicier option.
- Warm the mixture slightly before serving for an extra cozy experience, but avoid boiling.
- Customize sweetness with natural sweeteners to suit your taste.
