- 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup of cooked bacon crumbles
- 1 can of diced green chilies
- 1/2 cup of diced onions
- 1/2 cup of cooked ground beef or turkey (optional)
- 1 cup of milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon of honey or maple syrup (optional for sweetness)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh chopped parsley or cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease your baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cornbread mix, milk, eggs, and honey (if using). Stir until smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Fold in the shredded cheese, bacon crumbles, diced green chilies, diced onions, and cooked ground beef or turkey if desired. Mix until evenly combined.

- Allow to cool slightly, then garnish with chopped parsley or cilantro. Serve hot and enjoy this hearty, cheesy casserole.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add chopped jalapeños or spicy peppers into the batter.
- Use freshly grated cheese for a richer taste.
- Adjust spice level by varying the amount of green chilies and hot sauce.
