- 1 cup milk or heavy cream

- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 sheet puff pastry or pie crust, crumbled (optional garnish)
Instructions
- In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add diced onion, carrots, and celery; cook until tender.
- Stir in cooked chicken, broth, and seasonings. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Add milk or heavy cream and peas; cook for another 5 minutes.
- Optional: crumble cooked puff pastry or pie crust on top before serving for a flaky finish.

- Use leftover cooked chicken for convenience.
