- 1 ½ pounds ground chicken
- 4 slices of ham, chopped
- 1 cup shredded Swiss or cheddar cheese
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 large eggs
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme or Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: Dijon mustard or mayonnaise for extra flavor
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, chopped ham, shredded cheese, breadcrumbs, eggs, chopped onion, garlic, and seasonings. Mix until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan or on a baking sheet. Spread a layer of Dijon mustard or mayonnaise over the top if desired.
- Bake for about 50–60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Allow the meatloaf to rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For a gluten-free version, substitute breadcrumbs with almond flour or gluten-free breadcrumbs.
- Glazing with ketchup or honey-mustard before baking adds extra flavor and a glossy finish.
- This meatloaf can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
