- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional toppings: sour cream, salsa, chopped cilantro
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients: ground beef, tortillas, onions, garlic, and shredded cheese.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef with chopped onions and minced garlic until browned. Add chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Lay a tortilla flat, add a portion of the beef mixture, and sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
- Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll from the bottom up to enclose the filling securely. Serve warm with optional toppings.
Notes
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- For longer storage, burritos can be frozen for up to 2 months.
- Pair with Mexican rice, beans, or a colorful salad for a complete meal.
