Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add onions and garlic, cook until fragrant.
  2. Add diced potatoes and cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Pour in beef broth, bring to a boil, then reduce to simmer until potatoes are tender, about 15 minutes.
  4. Add sliced steak and cook for another 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in milk and shredded cheese until melted and creamy.
  6. Season with salt and pepper. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
