Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 6 slices of bacon
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional toppings: sliced pickles, extra cheese, fresh herbs
Instructions
- Cook bacon until crispy, drain on paper towels, then crumble into small pieces.
- In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned; season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Drain excess grease and combine with bacon crumbles.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs and heavy cream. Stir in shredded cheese, then add the cooked beef and bacon mixture. Mix thoroughly.
- Pour the filling into a greased pie dish or baking dish. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and set.
Notes
- Use high-quality, thick-cut bacon for maximum flavor.
- Feel free to swap cheese varieties like pepper jack or mozzarella for variety.
- For a keto crust alternative, add crushed pork rinds or cheese layers on top.
- Make ahead by preparing the filling in advance and baking when ready.
