Ingredients
Scale
- 4 tilapia fillets (about 6 oz each)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lemon (juiced and zested)
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Pat the tilapia fillets dry with a paper towel.
- Whisk together olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, paprika, oregano, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl.
- Brush the marinade generously over both sides of the tilapia fillets.
- Preheat broiler on high and position the oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source.
- Broil the tilapia for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until opaque and flaky.
Notes
- Use fresh tilapia fillets for the best texture and flavor.
- Don’t skip the lemon zest—it adds a burst of citrusy aroma.
- Keep an eye on the fish while broiling to prevent burning.
- If you don’t have a broiler pan, a wire rack on a baking sheet works too.
