  • 4 strips of crispy cooked bacon, chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup milk or beef broth
  • 1/2 cup bourbon BBQ sauce, divided
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Additional chopped bacon and BBQ sauce for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a muffin tin with liners or grease.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground meat, chopped bacon, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, egg, milk, Worcestershire, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  3. Divide the mixture evenly among muffin cups, pressing down slightly. Bake for 20 minutes or until cooked through.
  4. Remove from oven and spoon half of the bourbon BBQ sauce over each cupcake. Return to oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
  5. In the last few minutes, top with extra BBQ sauce and crispy bacon for added smoky flavor.
  6. Allow cupcakes to cool slightly. Garnish with additional bacon and BBQ sauce if desired. Serve with your favorite sides.
