- 1 lb ground beef or turkey
- 4 strips of crispy cooked bacon, chopped
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup milk or beef broth
- 1/2 cup bourbon BBQ sauce, divided
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Additional chopped bacon and BBQ sauce for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a muffin tin with liners or grease.
- In a large bowl, combine ground meat, chopped bacon, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, egg, milk, Worcestershire, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Divide the mixture evenly among muffin cups, pressing down slightly. Bake for 20 minutes or until cooked through.
- Remove from oven and spoon half of the bourbon BBQ sauce over each cupcake. Return to oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
- In the last few minutes, top with extra BBQ sauce and crispy bacon for added smoky flavor.
- Allow cupcakes to cool slightly. Garnish with additional bacon and BBQ sauce if desired. Serve with your favorite sides.

- For a gluten-free version, replace breadcrumbs with gluten-free breadcrumbs or crushed pork rinds.
- Use a cookie scoop for uniform cupcake size.
- Brush with more BBQ sauce during the final baking for a glossy glaze.
