- 4 ripe bananas, sliced

- 1/4 cup dark rum (or bourbon)
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 package vanilla instant pudding mix
- Graham cracker crumbs (for layering)
- Toasted pecans or walnuts (optional garnish)
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter, add sugar, and cook until it turns golden brown. Add sliced bananas and cook until softened. Flambé with rum or bourbon, then set aside.
- In a bowl, whisk the vanilla pudding mix with 2 cups of cold milk until thickened.
- In another bowl, beat heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form. Fold whipped cream into the pudding mixture.
- Layer a serving dish with graham cracker crumbs, banana slices, caramelized bananas, and pudding mixture. Repeat layers until filled.
- Top with remaining caramelized bananas, banana slices, and nuts if desired. Chill for 2 hours before serving.

- Store the pudding tightly covered in the refrigerator and consume within 2-3 days.
- Add fresh banana slices just before serving to maintain appearance.
- Customize with nuts or cookie crumbs for added texture.
