  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 package vanilla instant pudding mix
  • Graham cracker crumbs (for layering)
  • Toasted pecans or walnuts (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter, add sugar, and cook until it turns golden brown. Add sliced bananas and cook until softened. Flambé with rum or bourbon, then set aside.
  2. In a bowl, whisk the vanilla pudding mix with 2 cups of cold milk until thickened.
  3. In another bowl, beat heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form. Fold whipped cream into the pudding mixture.
  4. Layer a serving dish with graham cracker crumbs, banana slices, caramelized bananas, and pudding mixture. Repeat layers until filled.
  5. Top with remaining caramelized bananas, banana slices, and nuts if desired. Chill for 2 hours before serving.
