- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- In a shallow dish, combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- In another shallow dish, combine panko breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese. Mix well.
- Dip chicken strips in the flour mixture, then in the beaten eggs, and finally dredge in the breadcrumb mixture.
- Preheat oven to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC). Place breaded chicken on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Let chicken tenders rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Pound chicken for even cooking.
- Avoid overcrowding the baking sheet.
- Use a meat thermometer to check for 165ยฐF (74ยฐC) internal temperature.
