- 4 slices of crispy bacon, chopped
- 3 cups of cooked jasmine or long-grain rice (preferably chilled)
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup of chopped green onions
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional vegetables: peas, carrots, bell peppers, or corn
Instructions
- Gather all your ingredients and ensure the rice is cooked and chilled.
- In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and sautรฉ for 30 seconds. Add optional vegetables and cook until tender.
- Add chilled rice to the pan and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, breaking up any clumps.
- Make a well in the rice, add beaten eggs, scramble them, then mix into the rice. Add soy sauce and sesame oil.
- Stir in the crispy bacon and green onions. Cook for another 2 minutes.
Notes
- Use cold, leftover rice for the best texture.
- Cook bacon separately for extra crunch.
- Adjust seasonings to suit your taste.
