- 2 ripe avocados, diced
- 1 large mango, diced
- 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 jalapeño, seeded and minced (optional)
- Juice of 2 limes
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Dice the avocados and mango into small, bite-sized pieces.
- In a large bowl, gently combine avocados, mango, red onion, cilantro, and jalapeño (if using).
- Squeeze lime juice over the mixture and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Toss gently to combine all ingredients without mashing the avocados.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve immediately or chill for up to 1 hour.
Notes
- Best served fresh but can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 day.
- The lime juice helps prevent the avocados from browning.
- For extra crunch, add diced cucumber or bell peppers.
- Make it heartier by adding black beans or corn.
- For a different tropical twist, substitute pineapple for the mango.
