- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
- ¾ cup warm water
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- ½ cup sliced olives
- 1 cup diced fresh tomatoes
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix warm water and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until bubbly.
- Add flour, olive oil, and salt. Stir until combined, then knead on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thickness on a floured surface.
- Spread tomato sauce over the dough, sprinkle with mozzarella, and top with olives and diced tomatoes.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 475°F (245°C) for 12-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- For longer storage, freeze wrapped pieces for up to a month.
- Reheat in the oven for the best quality.
