Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds chicken wings (party or whole wing segments)
- 1/4 cup hot honey
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
- 1 tablespoon lemon pepper seasoning
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Cooking spray or olive oil spray
Instructions
- Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels, then season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Toss to coat evenly.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Arrange wings in a single layer, not overcrowded.
- Cook the wings for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and crispy.
- While the wings cook, mix hot honey, lemon juice, lemon pepper seasoning, and a pinch of salt in a bowl to make the glaze.
- Transfer cooked wings to a large bowl. Pour the glaze over the wings and toss to coat. For extra crispiness, air fry for 2-3 more minutes if desired.
Notes
- Make sure to pat wings dry before seasoning for maximum crispiness.
- Thorough preheating of the air fryer ensures even cooking and crispness.
- For extra heat, add cayenne pepper or hot sauce to the glaze.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 5 minutes for best crispiness.
