Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound fresh Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 4 slices bacon, chopped into small pieces
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Optional: garlic powder, lemon juice, or parmesan cheese for extra flavor
- Fresh herbs like thyme or parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Wash and trim Brussels sprouts, then cut in half for even cooking. Chop bacon into small pieces.
- Place chopped bacon into the air fryer basket and cook at 400°F (200°C) for 5-6 minutes until crispy. Remove and drain excess grease on paper towels, keeping bacon warm.
- Toss halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, pepper, and optional seasonings like garlic powder. Add cooked bacon and mix well.
- Transfer the mixture to the air fryer basket, spreading evenly. Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 12-15 minutes, shaking halfway through for even crispiness.
- Serve hot garnished with fresh herbs or optional cheese for added flavor.
Notes
- Adjust cooking time based on the size of Brussels sprouts for optimal tenderness and crispiness.
- For extra flavor, add lemon juice or sprinkle with Parmesan cheese just before serving.
- Use vegan bacon to make this dish vegetarian or suitable for a plant-based diet.
- Reheat leftovers in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 3-4 minutes to restore crunch.
