Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground chicken (chicken breast or thigh)
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (or almond flour for low-carb)
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: chopped fresh herbs (parsley, cilantro)
- Olive oil spray (for crispiness)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, chopped onion, garlic, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated. For added flavor, stir in chopped herbs.
- Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape each into a patty about 1/2-inch thick. To ensure even cooking, avoid over-flattening.
- Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and preheat for about 3 minutes.
- Spray the air fryer basket lightly with olive oil spray. Place the patties in a single layer, leaving space between each. Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
- Remove the patties carefully and serve hot with your favorite sides or in a bun with fresh toppings. Enjoy!
Notes
- Ensure not to over-flatten the patties for even cooking.
- You can customize with different herbs or spices according to your taste.
- For extra crispiness, spray the patties lightly with olive oil before cooking.
